Ensuring they enjoy the games they play
Project Description
The project “Sport for all, ensuring they enjoy the games they play” draws together four countries across Europe which are interested in grass root sports and physical activity from a diverse and multilevel perspective. It comprises Sports Clubs/Associations and a school with a focus on sporting achievement to create, basing on their expertise, an in-depth analysis of best existing practices, suggestions for quality improvements and innovation excellence, thus supporting improvement in trainers’ competence at a grassroots level. The consortium plans to encourage and reinforce co-operation with teachers/trainers/coaches from partner countries to show evidence that sport plays an inclusive, educational and health-enhancing, both mentally and physically, role in the lives of young people.

Aims
The main aim of the project is to encourage young people to engage in sport activities for their own pleasure, enjoying their participation sport and showing young people that sport is a healthy, worthwile alternative to a sedentary lifestyle. This work is focused on the consortium’s report best existing practices and a needs analysis which will provide a well-informed base to develop a feasible and appropriate solution for sports practice in Europe.
Focus
It is focused on two main aspects:
- Previous experiences carried out and multimedia learning materials produced by the participant schools/ associations;
- A detailed search for regional, national and international good practice in sports practice and in the existing multimedia resources and best practices.
