About our best practices

We are a group of sports schools and a sports and cultural association formed mainly by teachers of Physical Education and coaches of different disciplines.

WHAT SPORT FACILITIES DO WE HAVE ?

We are a sports and cultural association formed mainly by teachers of Physical Education and coaches of different disciplines.

Our Association emerged from the idea of physical education material, started working on research projects and currently advise in training matters to all types of clubs, from football, f, athletics and other sports with which they collaborate with the City Council of Coruña, with which we have a good relationship of collaboration.

We collaborate in the creation of materials, information for web pages and search of all kinds of innovative material in physical education and sport.

We have all kinds of facilities, football fields, pavilions to perform track sports, athletics tracks and as much as possible have facilities for practicing water sports, as with the clubs that collaborate have an agreement with the city council.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We bring together four countries from all over Europe that are interested in grassroots sports and physical activity from a diverse and multilevel perspective. We comprise Clubs and Sports Associations and a school focused on sports achievements to create, based on their experience, an in-depth analysis of existing best practices, suggestions to improve the quality and excellence of innovation, thus supporting the improvement in competition of the coaches.

WHAT ARE OUR TARGET GROUPS AND WHAT GOALS DO WE SET?

The main objective of the project is to encourage young people to participate in sports activities for their own pleasure, enjoying their participation in sports and showing young people that sport is a healthy alternative and worthy of a sedentary lifestyle.

WHAT ARE OUR BEST PRACTICES

In Romania: They use the Pentathlon and Tetrathlon competitions as ways to encourage students to do more physical activities. They also use bicycle tours to increase the attraction of using bicycles to do more sport. And they use Zumba to create a friendly framework for more physical activities.

In Poland: They encourage the participation of students in physical activities, talking with them to find out what they expect from the teachers and in what classes they would like to participate, so the students identify themselves and have real influence of what happens during the classes.

In Greece: They try to make a very good understanding of olympic games and doping usage in sports by organizing courses and different educational programs for teenagers. The focus of the courses is to teach the philosophy of the Olympic Games (peace, equality) and inform attendees about the dangers of doping in both health and sporting life.

In Spain: They analyze the sport context at different levels (physical level, socio-emotional level and influence in the field of education and personal life). They establish a plan of action and advice to improve the conditions of sports practice and try to encourage sport and physical activity in two areas (play and teaching). They advice students to learn and have fun through sports. Collaboration and support from the town hall and also from famous athletes who give master classes or tell their experience is also a method for a good practice.

WE HAVE A VERY GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CITY COUNCIL

Where we try to show part of our work, we have collaborated in an earlier project with a football club “Bergantiños” which we advise and with which we participate in an Erasmus Plus project, its name is “Shape” .

We work through social networks with pages attached to the collaborating clubs in order to spread our work.

WE HAVE A DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH FAMOUS SPORTSMEN

We keep in touch with some sports personalities and some give master classes, such as the judoka Victorino González, champion of Spain (1984, 1985 and 1991), or rugby players Paula Medín and Vanesa Rial, both competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics where they won the final Olympic venue for Rio and they both participated at the 2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens.
